I'm trying to make Sodium Acetate. Do you have to use WHITE vinegar, or can you use apple cider vinegar?

I'm trying to get some sodium acetate for a science experiment, and was wondering if I could use any other type of vinegar to mix with baking soda, or do I have to use white?
