Is "lubricate" the right word to use in this sentence? English learner seeks help?

I would either say "A romantic dinner with your loved one reinvigorates your marriage" or "A romantic dinner with your loved one spiced up your relationship, so you lubricated your pen1s for the ensuing ." Pick one or the other because your sentence is WAY too suggestive.
