Why do you think so many foreigners live in or near Itaewon?

There are so many foreigners live in or near Itaewon. What is the main reason why so many people live there? What is it's main attraction and what does it have to offer over other areas of Seoul? I know Itaewon has a wide selection of international foods, but I highly doubt the foreigners live there for the food selection of food.
