No way. Asperger's is not at all a "cheap imitation of intellectual giftedness". It's so much more than that. I can only imagine how difficult it is for you to live with AS, but know that there are some people out there (like me) who may not fully understand, but at least try. I've read books about AS (both fiction and non) and I have a basic idea of the difficulty people with AS have. Hang in there. Perhaps consider finding a chat room or support in your community from other people who have AS. Perhaps that would allow you to commiserate with others about the daily struggles you all endure.
