Is it possible for it to work a second time?

I have been divorced for about 3 months now. I did not get divorced because I did not love her or that we hated each other it was do to the fact of a problem she had with sleeping pills. We were married in 2006 the day after we were married my brother and best man had a stroke. Are marriage got off to a ruff start. We have remained very close friends and have been intimate until just recent. She has really put her life back together in the last 6 month and is doing everything I asked of her before we got divorced. Now we are both at the point of dating other people the relationship we have is not fair to the people we are dating. We are at the point where we need to get back together or end the friendship to build new lives without each other. Is it possible for it to work a second time? Has something like this happened to u? How did it turn out?
