Storyline Inspiration?

Let your characters tell the story. As the author if you set a linear path sometimes the story will become very rigid, I suggest you begin and let the story tell itself, it will come to you once you have something started. Most authors know the beginning, some random scenes they have in mind and the ending of their story.The middle will come to you when you are there. Honestly, the only author I can think of that knew almost her entire story from the beginning is the author of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling and I wish everyday I was like that.
