Are there more unplanned pregnancies than ever these days?

It's a growing trend and it's sad. I know a 12 year old girl who is pregnant for the 2nd time. The first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. You would think she would have learned from the first time or that her mom would atleast put her on birth control.
